About Robert Yeager

Robert Yeager Bio

Born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, Rob began playing golf at five years old and began competing at age eight.

At Fairview High School, Rob was selected to the Erie County All-County Team all four years of high school. Later, he was offered a scholarship at Mississippi State University, and then transferred to Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he was awarded All-American honors in 1982.

After school, Rob played as a professional for four years.

From 1999 to 2016 Rob was the Director of Instruction at Tournament Players School in Myrtle Beach and Charlotte, North Carolina. He also was head coach at Lake Pointe Academy in 2013 and 2014, where Yeager led his team to back-to-back state championships.

Recently, Rob has been giving private lessons in Cary and Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Playing Professionally

An NCAA All-American, Rob Yeager played as a full-time pro for four years.

Proven Coach

During his two years at Lake Pointe Academy, Rob put together two state champion teams as well as two individual state champions.

Rob has worked with some of the best teachers in the US including Bob Ford, Head Professional Oakmont CC and Seminole CC, and Golf Magazine Top 100 Teachers Steve Bosdosh, Dave Ledbetter, and Jimmy Ballard.
